Miami-Dade County Public Schools’ Adult Education Division with the guidance and support of our industry partners provides career training opportunities that lead to high-wages and career growth. The majority of these training programs are offered in English. With more than 75 career preparation programs offered at our 7 technical colleges and 14 adult education centers, you can begin your career in a year in any of the following areas: Commercial Art, Culinary Art, Construction, Health Occupations, Information Technology, Licensed Childcare, Personal Services, Manufacturing, and Transportation.

ADULT EDUCATION CENTER PROGRAMS

The objective of our adult education programs, offered at various high schools in Miami-Dade County, is for individuals to be able to afford training for a certificate or license right in their community and enter a career. These programs are available in the evenings and may take one year or less to complete. They are specifically designed to provide hands-on instruction for persons to become skilled in their field of choice.
